Essential storage
PaperPilot uses essential browser storage for authentication, security, theme preference, and application state. These items are required for core functionality and cannot be disabled through the product.
What PaperPilot uses
The current public site uses essential browser storage, including the local-storage consent preference named pp-analytics-consent. Authenticated areas may also use cookies or browser storage required by the authentication provider, security controls, session management, theme preference, and application state. These technologies support the service you request and are not used to sell advertising profiles.
Optional analytics
With your permission, PaperPilot uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It loads only after you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie banner; if you choose “Essential only”, no analytics script runs and no analytics cookies are set. To change your choice, clear this site’s local storage and the banner will ask again.
Usage and diagnostics
We may receive limited diagnostics and service-usage information from hosting, monitoring, authentication, database, and application providers to understand failures, protect the service, and improve performance. PaperPilot currently does not intentionally operate advertising pixels, marketing scripts, or cross-site advertising cookies.
Error monitoring and session replay (added October 27, 2026)
PaperPilot uses Sentry to detect errors. Sentry may store a session identifier in your browser's session storage and, for a sample of sessions and for sessions in which an error occurs, record a session replay. Replays are configured to mask all text and form inputs and to block images and media. This monitoring runs without the analytics choice described above.
Your controls
You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Clearing essential storage may sign you out or reset preferences. Contact mail@paperpilot.net with questions.
