Using PaperPilot
You may use PaperPilot only if you can form a binding agreement and comply with applicable law. You are responsible for your account details, credentials, activity, and the content you upload or create in your workspace.
Documents and workspace content
You retain ownership of documents and other content you submit. You give PaperPilot the limited rights needed to store, process, display, back up, and analyze that content to provide the service. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload it.
Connected services
PaperPilot lets you optionally connect third-party accounts, such as Gmail or Outlook to import email attachments and Google Calendar to keep your deadlines in a dedicated calendar. When you connect a service, you authorize PaperPilot to access it only within the permissions shown on that provider's consent screen and only to provide the feature you turned on. You must connect only accounts you are authorized to use. Your use of those services remains subject to the provider's own terms and policies.
Google Calendar sync is one-way: PaperPilot creates and manages a calendar named “PaperPilot Deadlines” and keeps its events matched to your open deadlines. Changes you make to those events inside Google Calendar may be replaced, and events are removed when the matching deadline is completed or deleted. Updates usually appear shortly after a change but can be delayed or interrupted by the provider, by an expired connection, or by service limits. Calendar reminders are a convenience and must not be your only record of an important date. You can disconnect a service at any time from PaperPilot or from your provider account settings.
Beta features
Features labelled “Beta” are provided for early use and feedback. They work but may change, have limits, show provider warnings while third-party reviews are pending, or be withdrawn. They are provided as available, and you should keep your own record of anything important that a beta feature handles for you.
Teams and access
Workspace owners and authorized managers control membership, roles, seats, and shared workspace content. You must protect invitations and access permissions and must not use a workspace to access another person’s content without authorization.
Plans, credits, and payments
PaperPilot may offer free trials, paid monthly plans, paid yearly plans, workspace plans, and usage credits. Credits are applied to eligible AI processing and are not cash, cannot be transferred between unrelated accounts, and may expire according to the plan shown at the time of purchase.
Subscription payments are processed through Razorpay. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize the applicable recurring charges until you cancel or the subscription ends. Plan prices, included credits, seat allowances, taxes, renewal dates, and cancellation terms are shown during checkout or in your account. Payment-provider terms may also apply.
How credits are charged (added October 27, 2026)
Reading a document with AI uses credits based on its size and page count: 40 credits for a document of up to 10 pages and 2 MB, and 20 more for each additional block of 10 pages or 2 MB, whichever is larger. Documents longer than 60 pages or larger than 8 MB can be stored but not read. PaperPilot asks for your approval before reading a document that costs more than 40 credits.
Other AI actions show an estimate and a maximum before they run. The maximum is held from your balance while the action runs. You are charged for the AI processing the action actually used, never more than the maximum you approved, and the rest of the held credits is returned. Some actions, such as duplicate-expense checks and data exports, are free.
Credits are charged only after a result has been saved. If reading a document or an action fails, the credits held for it are returned to your balance in full. To prevent misuse of free retries, reading pauses for a document that fails three times within 24 hours, and reading or AI actions pause for an account after 20 failed attempts within 24 hours. Failures caused by an AI provider outage or rate limit do not count toward these limits for reading. Your credit usage, including charges and returned credits, is shown in Settings. The price shown before you confirm an action applies to that action.
AI output and service limits
PaperPilot uses automated systems to extract fields, summarize documents, identify potential risks, track deadlines, and answer questions about workspace content. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date and is not legal, tax, medical, financial, or other professional advice. You must review output before relying on it, including dates that PaperPilot adds to a connected calendar.
We may apply reasonable file, page, request, credit, rate, and storage limits to protect the service and maintain reliable operation.
Analysis results and reminders (added October 27, 2026)
Results of document actions, including receipt values, spending categories, possible duplicate expenses, recurring payments, insurance coverage and exclusion summaries, warranty and expiry dates, obligation checklists, document comparisons, completeness checks, answers, and summaries, are informational and can be incomplete or wrong. Recurring payments worked out across several documents are inferred from dates and are labelled as inferred. A completeness check that finds every listed item does not mean a document is valid, compliant, or legally sufficient. An insurance summary is not insurance advice and does not confirm coverage.
PaperPilot creates reminders only for dates it finds in a document, and a date can be missed or read incorrectly. Reminders are a convenience and must not be your only record of an important date.
Uploaded documents are read in the background, two at a time, and temporary failures are retried automatically. Reading continues while the Documents page is open and resumes the next time you open it. Usage limits include hourly and daily limits per account on uploads, AI reading, AI actions, exports, and checkout.
Acceptable use
Do not use PaperPilot to violate law or another person’s rights, upload malicious code, probe the service, bypass access controls, abuse automated systems, process content without permission, or interfere with another workspace. We may restrict or suspend access to protect users, the service, or the public.
Changes and termination
You may stop using PaperPilot at any time. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risks, non-payment, or legal requirements. Any rights that by their nature should continue will survive termination.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer or other rights that apply to you, disputes relating to PaperPilot will be subject to the courts with jurisdiction in India.
Updates to these terms
On October 27, 2026, we added the sections marked “added October 27, 2026” to explain how credits are charged for AI actions and the limits of analysis results and reminders. The rest of these terms is unchanged.
