User content and copyright
Users retain ownership of documents and other content they upload to PaperPilot. Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the rights and permissions needed to upload, process, share, and export that content. PaperPilot does not claim ownership of user content merely because it is processed by the service.
Report an infringement
If you believe content available through PaperPilot infringes your copyright, send a notice to mail@paperpilot.net. A notice should identify the copyrighted work, identify the material at issue and where it can be found, provide your contact information, include a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, and include a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
Review and response
We may review a complete notice, request additional information, notify the relevant user, restrict access, or remove content where appropriate. We may also preserve records or share information when required by law. A copyright notice should not include unnecessary personal information or full payment-card details.
Counter-notices
A user who believes content was removed or restricted by mistake may contact support with an explanation and evidence of authorization. Where applicable law requires a formal counter-notice process, we will explain the information needed to submit one.
Repeat infringement
Consistent with applicable law, PaperPilot may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright or that misuse the service to distribute unauthorized content.
Important scope note
